Acrylic is a material made from synthetic plastic and is known for being strong, durable and lightweight; making it an ideal material to manufacture baths with. This is why we have adopted Acrylic as the material of choice for each bath in our Beaufort Baths range such as our range of Malin Double Ended and Single Ended Baths, and our extensive range of bespoke Whirlpool Baths.
Each of our Beaufort and Beauforte bath panels are made from a type of acrylic called ‘ABS Capped Acrylic’ rather than the standard high-impact polystyrene acrylic widely adopted in the market today. ABS capped Acrylic is a UV stable material meaning that your Beaufort and Beauforte bath panels will not discolour over time.
Our acrylic baths are every bit as strong as any steel bath thanks to the Glass Fibre reinforcement and encapsulated baseboard.
Unlike steel baths, Acrylic baths are highly resistant to scratches and stains due to the material they are made from. This is why we offer a 25 year warranty on 5mm Beaufort Baths, and a 30 year warranty on reinforced Beauforte Baths.
Acrylic is a remarkably flexible material that can easily form into different shapes. This is reflected through our Beaufort Baths range which boasts more than 30 different designs.
Acrylic is very good at retaining heat meaning gone are the days of having to wait for your steel bath to heat up before you can hop in. Saving you both time and money.
Due to the type of acrylic used, ABS capped acrylic, our Beaufort and Beauforte baths will not discolour over time.
Due to Acrylic being an easy-to-cut material; we do not have to manufacture our baths with pre-drilled tap holes. Instead, you have full flexibility in choosing where to place your taps.
To maintain the surface finish you simply have to wipe the bath occasionally with a mild detergent using a soft damp cloth, and dry the bath using a soft dry cloth.
Avoid using any abrasive cleaners, chemical household cleaners and any products containing concentrated bleach as these will damage the material.
All our Beaufort and Beauforte panels are made from ABS capped acrylic rather than the high impact polystyrene widely used in the market.
The advantage of this material is that the exposed surface on the panel is acrylic, which is UV stable, and therefore will not discolour over time.
